CodeIQ codes every line, sorts the VAT, matches invoices and posts finished books to Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Pandle or IQ Books.
This is what comes back: account, VAT, method and confidence on every line. Scan it, correct anything, post.

One client, one month, every record: five bank accounts, nine documents, a 699-row eBay report. Coded at fifty lines a second, matched, reviewed, posted. Six minutes, start to finish.
Every transaction moves through eight phases, each catching what the others miss: coding, VAT, transfers, invoice matching, posting.
Contact matching, validation, then the posting batch. Routine lines fly; edge cases are surfaced.
A conservative estimate at 90% automation. No survey, no email, no caveats.
RiQ second-passes the low-confidence rows, explains every decision and learns from your corrections.

Bank rules are written by hand, one at a time. CodeIQ reads the GL history and infers them for you. Hundreds. Instantly.
The questions from every demo. Four answered visually, six in one line each.
Drop a month of receipts and invoices in at once. RiQ Vision reads every file, matches each invoice to its bank line and posts the lot. Replaces Dext and AutoEntry.
Manual bookkeeping runs one client at a time. CodeIQ runs ten at once, each done in under two minutes.
Drop any sales CSV: every line coded and posted with the bank. eBay, Amazon and PayPal are built in; RiQ maps anything else.
eBay, Amazon and PayPal are auto-detected from the headers. Drop any other platform (Stripe, Etsy, Square, Shopify, GoCardless) and RiQ maps the columns for you to confirm once. No per-bank templates.
Sales, fees (final value, FBA, promoted listings, subscription), shipping, refunds, tax withheld. Each extracted as its own journal entry. Payouts excluded.
RiQ maps each bucket to your actual chart of accounts, intelligent categorisation that knows a Final Value Fee is a selling cost, not a bank charge.
Merchant transactions sit in the same review table as your regular bank lines. One review. One posting. Works with Xero, QuickBooks, Pandle, Sage.
No separate subscription, no separate onboarding, no summary-only posting, and any sales platform, not just the few marketplaces those tools cover. Individual transaction-level detail, included in every CodeIQ plan.

One worker replaces the manual grind and a shelf of add-on subscriptions.
Drag in a statement in any format, PDF, scan, photo, CSV or Excel. We extract, normalise and auto-detect columns, then run the eight-phase pipeline. No mapping, no training.
Semantic understanding catches the matches that fuzzy strings miss. Transfers paired, invoices linked to payments, refunds matched to originals.
Your CodeIQ subscription includes the other two products. Reconcile the bank, code the book, analyse the ledger. End to end from one login.
Once CodeIQ posts, LedgerIQ reads the GL and turns it into 40+ financial analysis modules. KPIs, forecasts, ratios, anomaly detection, board-ready PDFs. No extra data entry.
Each tool takes over at a different point. Start where your books are.
Bank-statement matching at 5,000 TPS plus invoice-to-payment reconciliation. Universal parser reads any bank, any format.

Higher credit limits for busy firms and multi-client practices. Connected clients get their own login, full IQ Books organisation and one-off starter credits; practices may optionally sponsor a target balance.
Drag and drop bank statements. Every major UK bank supported. AES-256 encryption, session-only storage.
Eight phases code every line, invoices are matched, transfers paired, VAT classified. RiQ reviews anything uncertain.

Most bookkeeping tools save a little time on one task. CodeIQ does the whole job, coding, VAT, transfers, invoices and posting, and surfaces only the lines that need judgement. Ten clients in an hour, not two days.
“If we're lying about the capabilities, you'll know within ten minutes of your first upload.”
No card. No commitment. One OAuth, one statement, one session: the full eight-phase output.
Every phase runs on the trial. You see the real output, not a teaser. No artificial limits.
Review every coded line. Reject anything. The system learns from each correction.
Straight answers on posting, accuracy, security and what it replaces.
Yes. This is what makes CodeIQ different. After the eight-phase pipeline codes your transactions and RiQ second-passes anything low-confidence, CodeIQ can post approved batches to QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or Pandle via secure API connections.
Your routine coding work is handled in one flow, with exceptions pulled forward instead of buried in a spreadsheet. Other tools make you click "Approve" hundreds of times; CodeIQ narrows the work to what needs judgement.
CodeIQ is strongest on repeat merchants and learned patterns, where historical matching becomes highly reliable. New or ambiguous transactions are marked for review instead of hidden.
The eight-phase pipeline, with RiQ reviewing low-confidence lines, includes:
The system learns from every correction, improving over time.
Absolutely. CodeIQ supports 10 concurrent sessions, allowing practices to process multiple clients at once.
Each session completes in under 2 minutes, making it possible to handle dozens of clients per hour with zero manual coding.
This scalability lets you grow your practice without hiring extra staff. CodeIQ handles the data entry, ReconcileIQ the verification, LedgerIQ the insight layer.
CodeIQ offers direct API integrations with:
Each platform has a dedicated posting service that handles its own requirements: VAT codes, multi-currency support, vendor/customer matching.
Yes. CodeIQ uses bank-grade security:
One thing can outlive the session, but only if you ask for it. Posting history is off by default: turn it on and a record of each run is kept so you can still see what reached your accounting platform and fix anything it rejected, with the run figures kept for 24 months and the transaction detail for 30 days or until you have dealt with a failure. Leave it off and the record clears with the session.
All processing happens in secure, isolated environments with enterprise-grade encryption.
Initial setup takes under five minutes:
No training required. No complex configuration. Just connect and go. One OAuth connection powers the whole IQ Suite: ReconcileIQ, CodeIQ, LedgerIQ and PrepIQ.
Yes. CodeIQ includes built-in invoice OCR extraction powered by RiQ Vision. Drag and drop PDFs, PNGs, or JPGs, it extracts amounts, dates, suppliers, invoice numbers, and VAT automatically with confidence scores.
Extracted invoices are matched against bank transactions for one-click payment posting. No separate subscription to Dext (£24+/mo) or AutoEntry needed.
Yes. eBay, Amazon and PayPal are auto-detected and parsed into individual journal entries, sales, platform fees (final value, FBA, promoted listings, subscription), shipping, refunds and tax withheld. Any other sales platform works too: drop a Stripe, Etsy, Square or Shopify statement and RiQ maps the columns for you to confirm.
Each line is AI-categorised against your chart of accounts with platform-specific context. Everything posts alongside your regular bank transactions, one review, one posting.
This replaces dedicated tools like A2X ($29–229/mo per channel) and LinkMyBooks (£13–249/mo), included in every CodeIQ plan at no extra cost.
CodeIQ does the books. ReconcileIQ ties out the bank. LedgerIQ explains the numbers. PrepIQ prepares the year-end. All four are native in IQ Books, or standalone on the software you run now.
The platform behind CodeIQ
CodeIQ is the bookkeeper you add to Xero, Sage or QuickBooks. It's also native inside IQ Books, our own ledger, with nothing to connect.
Already running CodeIQ on a client's Xero? IQ Books can become their ledger from the same connection: the accounts, banks, invoices and history come across with them.
