No. 04 The copilot

RiQ reads the numbers with you

Not a chat box bolted on — an analyst with its hands on the controls.

  • — 01

    It works the problem

Ask a question and RiQ runs a real investigation — opens modules, drills accounts, checks its own findings, then answers.

  • — 02

    Every figure, verifiable

Numbers in RiQ’s answers carry a verify chip — click one and it drills into the exact transactions behind the figure.

  • — 03

    Ask RiQ, everywhere

Every module and every sub-view carries an Ask RiQ button, pre-briefed on exactly what you’re looking at.

  • — 04

    It writes the board pack

Exports ship with RiQ commentary on each statement, recommended actions and an outlook — grounded in your figures.

  • — 05

    It speaks up first

Breached targets and patterns worth chasing surface as quiet nudges — before you thought to ask.

  • — 06

    It drives the dashboard

Navigation, filters, what-if assumptions, recomputes — RiQ operates the same controls you do, visibly.

§ Why we mean it

The GL knows.
You should know first.

“If LedgerIQ can’t show you something you didn’t already know about your own books, it isn’t doing its job.”
Proactive

Every module runs on upload. The three things worth worrying about surface before the meeting starts.

Established method

Altman, Piotroski, DuPont, CVP — the formulae analysts and lenders already trust.

Board-ready

One-click PDF board pack. Walk in with the briefing already printed.

No. 05 Method

Three steps. No integration.

Step 01 · Export

Any platform

CSV or XLSX from Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Pandle — anywhere a GL can leave the building.

Step 02 · Upload

Enrich in seconds

Accounts are classified automatically; RiQ asks about anything ambiguous.

Step 03 · Read

44 modules

Dashboards, forecasts, the valuation, the anomalies — and the PDF board pack.

Your ledger stays yours. Analysis runs client-side in your browser; transfers are AES-256 encrypted and session data is purged after analysis — nothing is kept unless you save a snapshot.

No. 06 Native in IQ Books

LedgerIQ has three siblings. They're all native in IQ Books.

IQ Books is the ledger LedgerIQ analyses — code the bank, tie it out, turn it into advice and prepare the year-end in one place, with no export in between. Every plan includes all four; each also runs standalone on the software you already have.

Frequently asked

What is LedgerIQ?
A financial analysis engine in the IQ Suite. It turns a raw GL export into statements, ratios, forecasts and reports — instantly.
Does it work with my software?
Yes. If you can export a general ledger (nominal ledger, account transactions or GL detail) as CSV or Excel, LedgerIQ can analyse it — Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Pandle and more.
How much does it cost?
2,000 credits per full report. Starter (£5/mo, 5,000 credits) covers two analyses a month; Accountant (25,000) covers twelve.
Is my data secure?
Yes. AES-256 encryption throughout, and detailed transaction data isn’t kept beyond the session unless you save a snapshot.
Can I download reports?
Yes — PDF board packs, Excel exports and chart images for any module.
Do I need accounting knowledge?
No. Every metric comes with a plain-English explanation, and RiQ guides any data enrichment.
How often can I upload?
As often as you like — no upload limits. Most users run it monthly; some weekly.
Does it work with ReconcileIQ and CodeIQ?
Yes, all four ship on every plan: ReconcileIQ proves the data, CodeIQ builds the ledger, LedgerIQ reads it, and PrepIQ prepares the year-end set. One set-up covers the suite.
How does LedgerIQ compare to Fathom or Syft?
Fathom and Syft pull summarised balances from a live Xero or QuickBooks connection; LedgerIQ reads the transaction-level general ledger export from any system — so it runs on clients you haven’t onboarded, drills to individual entries, and adds valuation, forecasting and a written board pack. No integration or admin access required.

The platform behind LedgerIQ

Analysis is better when the ledger is yours.

LedgerIQ turns any general ledger into board-ready analysis. Inside IQ Books the ledger is native and always current — so the numbers you analyse are the books you keep, coded and reconciled, with no export in between.

Move a client onto IQ Books and LedgerIQ reads the live ledger directly — and their history comes with them, so the trends start full, not empty.
